My homework for my web design class this week is to make an example of the 14 types of websites. You can see them if you want:

http://www.terryarts.com/school/14

The buttons that say "button" don't do anything, they're just mouse-overs. You click on the links to see the next pages. Times have changed, haven't they? When I was originally in college web design didn't exist. Now my homework is things like this and reading chapters about eBay.

I just heard that Mercury was dangerous for little kids. Many parents who have autistic children claim that their kids were alright until they got their booster shots. They claim that after the immunizations their kids developed autism (normally at age five). My kid is only two months old so it's unlikely that he'll get any shots that are possibly risky, but what do I do in the future?
Has anyone heard that mercury exists in booster shots and that it's bad for kids?

I know that fish has tremendous amounts of mercury. Mainly sushi, which my wife and I eat as often as we can afford.

My wife is pregnant!
The doctor says the baby is due early December '07.
We're very happy. I just got my first baby present.
It's from my sister Luba. It's a baby outfit which says:
Ah Hi Ru (Duck)
I Chi Go (Strawberry)
U Shi (Cow)
E N Pi Tsu (Pencil)
O Ba Ke (Ghost)
It's a cute decoration and a vowel lesson "A I U E O"
I asked the wife why the designer used Ghost
for the vowel O and she said probably because
it's easy to draw.

Thank you Luba.

I got the new They Might Be Giants album "The Else".
To keep myself busy while I listened to it a million times I did a Your Half drawing.
This is the first comic drawing I've done in years.

I finished my art portfolio.
I hope it's professional looking, but cute at the same time.
Let me know what you think.

Hi, I have a problem where there's stuttering and breaking-up of my songs when my computer does something that taxes the system.
It's a Windows Vista computer with a good rating.
I use iTunes or WinAmp to play music while I use the computer and it plays great until I do something that (I think) makes the hard drive spin up.
I thought I was because I was using the motherboard's built-in sound so I bought a name brand sound card. It still happens with the higher quality sound card.
I thought it was because I have two hard drives and my music wasn't on my system drive, so I moved my mp3 library to my C: but it still happens.
It happens when I download large files and such (using different web browsers) but it doesn't always come up when I do something to activate my hard drive. I thought it might be magnetic disruption on the speakers from the system, but no.
Any ideas?

Can I install an American Windows Vista in native Japanese?
I'll explain...

If you bought a Windows computer in America the operating system is in English.
You can install language support which helps you write and read Japanese lettering,
but the actual operating system is in English.
All programs have "File, Edit, View..." and all the system alerts are in English.
If you buy a Windows computer in Japan, everything is in Japanese.

Do you know if I can buy Windows Vista retail in the US and install it so it appears
as if it was bought in Japan?

Was there ever an arcade-style controller for the Dreamcast?
You know what I mean by arcade-style; StreetFighter kind.
If they exist can I find and buy two?

You see, my brother Walter gave me a Dreamcast with my
favorite 2-D fighting video game, Vampier Hunter, a few years
ago. I re-discovered this present during my recent move
and I realized that I wanted two proper controllers.

Let me know.

Thanks

This is an email I sent a beer company.

I live near Washington DC, USA. Bass is my favorite beer and I drink it in
excess as often as possible. (Excess being over 6 beers at a time).

You introduced your Pub-Pour beer in this area about a year ago, in can form.
I though it was cool and I tried it. It had a syrupy aftertaste and made my
throat hurt, something that never happened after many of you normal Bass.

Just this week the local beer shops changed their stock of normal Bass bottles
to the Pub-Pour bottles (normal have the black label, P-P have white labels).
I'm unhappy that you changed your product.

I'm drinking your P-P bottled beer right now and it's the same as with the cans.
I support your efforts to expand and promote your product (like including music
CDs, this whole P-P fad, and radio commercials), but it's a shame that my
local beer vendors no longer stock normal Bass. Please make it easy for
east-coast American vendors to stock both types.

Sincerely, an upset customer
Terry

P.S. I drink draft Bass at many of the local restaurants and your P-P beer
doesn't taste like it. Draft Bass has a refreshing, nutty taste. This new
P-P product is syrupy and doesn't smell like nuts, it just smells like beer.

I realized that songs you buy from the iTunes music store are not MP3 files and they're sort of locked. To get around this I simply burned the songs onto a normal audio CD and then re-imported them. This made them normal MP3 files and all is well.

Hi all, I got Apple's new laptop, the MacBook. It's one with the Intel processor inside.

I love it. It's affordable and fast. I knew that these Intel based Macs could dual-boot using Windows. Macs have been able to run Windows for a long time, but it was through an emulator and so it was pretty slow. This is actually booting the computer into Windows.
I've done it. It wasn't hard. When it boots I hold down a button and it lets me choose Mac or Windows.

It's terrific. Windows runs pretty fast. As far as Windows bugs go, the built-in video camera doesn't seem to work yet. Also the trackpad has only one-button, and Windows needs a two-button mouse. To fix this I just got a bluetooth multi-button mouse. Also the USB modem doesn't work with Windows which is bad. Also if you're in Windows and you close the screen, putting the computer to sleep, it doesn't often work when you open it again. When you're in Mac OS you can see the Windows hard drive and read/write files to it. When you're in Windows you can't see the Mac files.

This is a great system but when you set it up you need a fresh copy of Windows, which is $ 200.
